Long over due! and Anniversary cards

Gosh, where has the time gone? School started and then I don't know what happened. It's already been a month almost since my last post - REALLY!! I think I've finally gotten everyone settled into their new routine that I can get back into mine.

The family managed to get one last camping trip in to end the summer, I mean our only camping trip. Oh geez! We are so lame! As always it was an amazing time with all of our friends, the kids and dogs. Many people were out in the river flying fishing, wading and hoping for fish, but NO LUCK, NO FISH! The late nights were filled with poker and lots of laughs by the fire and a few brewskies too!!

This week my honey and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary! I'm such a lucky lady, I have a man that loves me and our children and will do anything for us. I can't wait for the next 13 years and forever with him.

So I made him an anniversary card (of course!), and he loved it. Once again I used all the supplies from Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit. I really love the colors this month.

An because my children take after their mother, my oldest made us a card as well. She came across a card I had made a while ago from the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit and liked it so much she followed the design to create her card. Check it out!! Pretty good for a 9 year old. Makes me so proud!!

her card - not bad, right?

Simon Says Stamp - Sept Kit - Sketchbook

I've been meaning to put together a sketchbook for awhile now, so I figured with this long weekend I finally could sit down and make it. This design is one by Kristine Werner, she has created the inside pages and posted them on her blog, there's even a video to follow if you like. She's so awesome, love her designs. For the cover of my book I used all the supplies from the Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit, except for the foam letters by EK Success and the black card stock was just some I had lying around. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the large stars and circle border from the zig zag paper.

I can't take credit for this card layout. I was hopping around a number of blogs this morning and ended up at Melissa Shea's blog, Love My Scraps. She had made a card using these same elements and I absolutely loved it and thought it would work well for my sketchbook. Hope she's not mad!!

ENJOY!
