A friend of mine sent a nice Valentines card the other day and to thank her and send her a card in response, I put together this card using supplies from Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit. I knew I wanted to do something with the big flower stamp and the sentiment "hey, girlfriend" and just let all the rest fall into place. I added something to the inside of the card as well, scroll down to see the inside photo. Love it! Enjoy!!

My Mind's Eye at Michaels
Happy Saturday! My kids are away and I've been cleaning up my craft studio and realized I've acquired a few 6x6 patterned paper pads from MME.
Every time I go to Michaels I pick up one of these paper pads. I just love them! Lots of time they are on sale or I use a 40% coupon. Here' my collection so far - minus one - I forgot I had purchased one and it didn't get into the photo.
I'm working on a card using supplies from Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit - stay tuned!

Happy Valentines Day, Everyone!!
I pumped out some cards for the hubby and two daughters last weekend. But I didn't want to post them for fear that my husband might decide to check out my blog.
I really took bits and pieces from many different card kits I've received from Simon Says Stamp for these three cards. I'm not going to be specific for each card on what supplies I used where, I'll just show them all at the end.
I've very happy with the way they came out. I received some Inktense Pencils for Christmas, I used them on the one card with the Furry Kisses stamp. I went to my washi tape collection to create the diagonal pattern on the Loads of Love card. The color combinations worked well for both cards for my "girly" girls! The I Love You Always card was a mish mash of supplies from various SSS card kits and the pattern papers are by My Minds Eye (The Station) exclusive to Michaels.

Happy Birthday - Paper Smooches Party Pals
My real job is working at a printing company as a production/graphic designer. I've worked there for many years. When I started in my department there was probably over 20 people in all, now there are 3, that's right 3!! Times are tough, printing is a dying industry they keep saying. And yet here we are, the THREE of us - are we the best of the lot or did we just get lucky and are hanging on until there 'aint no more?
One of us 3 is having a birthday - yeah!! So I made her a card. Not just any card, this is my FIRST Copic coloring job with my first Paper Smooches (Party Pals) stamp. I used patterned papers from Simon Says Stamp's 2012 April Card Kit and did my best with my limited skills and number of markers. The sentiment on the front of the card is one that I actual drew out on my computer, gleaming a bit from The Alley Way Stamps type style. Last year for my birthday my family got me a Wacom Tablet. I haven't practiced too much with it, but I know it has great potential.

Zebra Ducked Tape Invite
Back in January - I know it's been awhile! - my oldest daughter had her 10th birthday party. Double digits baby! The big craze with the young kids right now is duck tape; they make wallets, belts, pencil holders, flip-flops and much more. My daughter wanted her own party (not a combined party with her younger sister anymore) and we had to do cool stuff with ducked tape. So I thought, let's start is out right and make our invites with duck tape too. We went with a zebra stripe and teal colored theme for the party decorations and so the invite followed that theme as well.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the sentiment, which I purchased from Silhouette's online store. We put a strip of zebra duck tape, a couple of jewel dots and tied it with a ribbon. For the inside I printed out the invite off my computer and pasted it inside, they came together pretty quickly.
I really had a fun decorating for this party, guess it was because my daughter is so over with the color PINK, she likes more cool and hip stuff which means I'm no longer dealing with fairies, princess and butterflies.
The girls all had a great time making the coin purses. Most everyone chose the zebra stripes, but a couple went for their own pazzaz!
Stay tuned, I have a bunch more to upload in the week to come.
Thanks for stopping by!
